Regina Catholic Schools release video message as schools close indefinitely

With Catholic schools in Regina being closed indefinitely as of Friday, the Regina Catholic School Division (RCSD) is assuring staff and families they are working hard on a plan during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The school division shared a video featuring Director of Education Dom Scuglia on their social media accounts providing more information on what is being done during school closures and how RCSD plans to support families and staff at this time.

In the video, Scuglia said operations will be paused next week so they can plan with the government what education will look like for staff and students in the weeks and months ahead.

But for now, he is asking for patience from the public.

“When we have a plan, we will communicate the plan with you,” said Scuglia. “There are more questions than answers. We are working to provide information to you as we receive it.”

The school division said they will continue consistent communication with families and staff, and will post information on their website and individual school websites.
