Saskatchewan Stock Growers are expressing support for the province’s spending plans for the coming year.

Stock Growers president Bill Huber of Lipton says there’s more support for the agriculture industry in the budget estimates.

He welcomes 5 million dollars for irrigation expansion.

Huber says it doesn’t sound like a lot of money but it is a start and shows the ministry of Agriculture recognizes the need for expanded irrigation.

Huber also supports the province’s emergency declaration to battle the covid-19 virus, saying it is important to ensure public health safety.
