Grain markets on the rise during COVID-19 pandemic

Grain markets had a jump in price last week as the world grapples with the COVID-19 outbreak.

Commodity futures adviser with P.I. Financial in Regina Adam Pukalo says canola rose $20 a ton and wheat jumped 20-40¢ a bushel last week.

Pukalo says the upward price move reflects an easing of trade tensions between the U.S. and China amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Pukalo says markets remain very volatile because of the COVID-19 virus and he will be watching markets closely this week to see if the rally continues.
