After two readings, the House of Commons has ended an emergency session on a $82-billion deal designed to help Canadians weather the COVID-19 storm.
Government House speaker Pablo Rodriguez announced on Twitter that the House has adopted the support package and says it’s now up to the Senate.
It's done. The House has adopted the emergency support announced to face #COVID19. It's now up to the Senate. We will work day and night so that Canadians receive as quickly as possible the help they critically need. We will be there for you. #cdnpoli pic.twitter.com/bjhSGsf764

Once the bill becomes law, it will deliver $82-billion in financial aid and tax deferrals to individuals and businesses to help them cope with the economic fallout from the pandemic.
