Unifor reportedly receives “final offer” from FCL with aggressive concessions

Unifor has received another contract offer from Federated Co-op, and it’s one they are reportedly unsatisfied with.

In a news release, Unifor says FCL has tabled a “final offer” with concessions that would decrease the company’s responsibility for pension, all the while the company would reportedly remove the employee savings plan.

National president Jerry Dias is continuing to call for binding arbitration from the province.

Unifor local 594 voted 98% in favour of the recommendations made by special mediators’ Vince Ready and Amanda Rogers, but FCL said the recommendations could not be followed in full.
