The City of Regina, along with Run Regina have decided to postpone the upcoming I Love Regina Run until 2021 due to COVID-19.

“This run is intended to be a fun, active celebration of our city and its people,” said Mayor Michael Fougere. “It is clear that we will not be able to carry out the event while observing proper social distancing protocols and the limits on public gatherings, and we must ensure the health and safety of participants, volunteers, and organizers.”

The city says that people who are registered for the run will be contacted about their registration fees.

Donations made through the registration process will be provided to UnderstandUS, a non-profit organization that creates campaigns to spark positive conversations about mental health.

A date for 2021 has not yet been scheduled.
