Third COVID-19 death confirmed in Sask; nine new cases

The Government of Saskatchewan has confirmed that a third person has died as a result of COVID-19.

They also announced nine new cases in the province, bringing the total to 193.

Four people are in hospital, including one person in ICU in Regina.

Of the 193 cases, 87 are travel-related, 41 are community contacts, eight have no know exposures, and 57 are currently under investigation.

24 cases are traced back to the Christopher Lake snowmobile rally.

Nine more people have recovered from the virus, marking 30 people in total.

To date, 10,528 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.
