An employee at Eden Care Communities has tested positive for COVID-19.

The staff member was reportedly in contact with three staff members and one resident before self isolating.

The impacted staff members are all self isolating, while the resident is in isolation, and their family has been notified.

The Eden Care home is closed to admissions, discharges and transfers, and any resident who has been in close contact with the employee will be monitored and self isolated for 14 days.

In a news release, CEO of Eden Care Communities Alan Stephen says all resident baseline temperatures and vital signs are being recorded, and temperatures are being taken twice daily while the location is on a strict lockdown.
