Ford F-Series trucks being targeted in recent thefts

Regina Police are urging residents to be more attentive than normal when it comes to safeguarding their vehicles, especially if they drive a large Ford truck.

RPS has seen an increase in the thefts of older Ford Super Duty F-250 and F-350 trucks. From March 24th to March 31st, ten of 19 stolen vehicles in Regina were Ford trucks.

Police say that the thefts are happening all over the city, not just in one area.

RPS encourages owners of older-model Ford Super Duty F-250 and F-350 trucks to use an anti-theft device to ensure the security of their truck.

In general, vehicle owners should make sure their doors are locked, garage door openers are removed from the car, and no valuables are left in plain sight.

Anyone who sees anything suspicious is asked to call Regina Police at 306-777-6500, in an emergency call 9-1-1.
