Exercise responsibly during COVID-19

Many people are finding it hard to stay physically active during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gyms are closed and social distancing is being strongly encouraged.
RunQCM and RunRegina Race Director Shawn Weimer says there are three things runners need to consider at this time.
“What we encourage people to do, is when they’re out running and walking, to try and three things into place,” said Weimer. “Run from home, run alone or with members of their households only, and take this as an opportunity to discover new places to run.”
“Let’s not run in the places that we commonly go.”
Weimer says exercise is important right now because being physically active helps to maintain both mental and physical health.
He adds for those wondering what running events have been cancelled or postponed people can go to RunRegina.ca.
