Edmonton Oilers forward Colby Cave has been placed in a medically-induced coma after suffering a brain bleed.
The Oilers said Tuesday on their Twitter account that the brain bleed happened overnight and that Cave was in the critical care unit at Toronto’s Sunnybrook Hospital.
The 25-year-old from North Battleford has appeared in 67 career NHL games with the Oilers and Boston Bruins.
He played his junior hockey in Swift Current.
Colby is an awesome person who scored an awesome goal for us this season.
The entire #Oilers family is sending you all our love & strength right now, @Cavemn10.
