Province confirms 11 new cases of COVID-19; 15 more people have recovered

The Government of Saskatchewan confirmed 11 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, upping the province’s total to 271.

Of the 271 confirmed cases, 165 of them are considered active. Fifteen more people have recovered from the virus for a total of 103.

There are currently 8 people in hospitals across the province due to COVID-19. Two of those people are in the ICU.

Twenty-six of the province’s cases are health care workers, but the source of the infections may not all be health care related.

Most of the province’s cases are in Saskatoon, which has 135 cases, 56 cases are in Regina, 51 are from the north, 15 from the south, 10 from the central region and 4 from the far north.

The province has performed 15,621 COVID-19 tests so far, Saskatchewan continues to have the second highest rate of testing per capita in Canada.
