The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) says Monday morning’s suspicious death is now a homicide investigation after a 19-year-old woman had been shot.

Police responded to a call about an injured woman near Avenue T and 21st Street at around 3:40 a.m. Medavie Health Services took the victim to hospital, but she passed away from her injuries.

SPS Major Crimes, Forensic Identification Services and Technological Crimes have been called out to investigate.
