No garage sales allowed according to City of Regina

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Regina is reminding residents that holding garage or yard sales is frowned upon.

In a news release, Mayor Michael Fougere says “the most important thing right now is to continue to prioritize the effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and remind residents that this is a serious situation.”

Fougere adds “we must ensure we maintain social distancing to protect the health and safety of all Regina residents.”

The city did not say if there will be enforcement for those that do hold garage or yard sales at this time, but did say it is best to ensure people maintain at least two metres of social distancing while limiting contact with other people outside of your household.

The city is also asking residents to avoid putting unwanted items into donation bins for the time being, as many are currently overflowing.
