Premier would support financial aid for CFL

The future of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the CFL as a whole is up for debate after word this week that the league has gone to Ottawa looking for $150 million in financial aid because of the impact COVID19 has had on it.
Premier Scott Moe says the Riders have not come to the provincial government with their hand out, but the two have had discussions on other matters.
He does say that the government is in favour of helping out the league and the team.
“Without getting into details, I think it’s fair to say that Saskatchewan would be supportive of those conversations, and we’ll see where this goes,” said Moe. “The CFL is in a challenging position, and this is a question for all Canadians.”
Moe says the Riders are a major part of the fabric that makes this province up.
As you know, the start of the 2020 season has been delayed with some thought that the entire year may be scrapped which would be devastating for the league.
