The Saskatchewan Roughriders added to their linebacking depth Wednesday by signing Deshaun Davis to a contract.
The 6’0, 235 pound Davis was taken in the 6th round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals and played in all four pre-season games with the club recording 15 tackles and a sack before being released. He also spent time on the practice squads of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles.
Davis comes to the Riders from Auburn University. In his senior season, he was voted first-team All-SEC after a year where he led the Tigers with 116 tackles and 15 tackles for loss.
