COVID-19 outbreak at Meadow Lake hospital is over according to Saskatchewan Health Authority

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has declared the outbreak at the Meadow Lake hospital to be over.

The outbreak was declared on May 6th after a staff member had tested positive for COVID-19 through community-transmission.

The regional medical health officer for the area says no cases were found in the area over the last 10 days, and any staff who had close contact with the COVID-19 positive staff member were all tested, and their tests came back negative.

This is the second outbreak declared by the SHA to end, after Prince Albert’s outbreak ended on May 8th.

Outbreaks in Lloydminster, Beauval and la Loche are still active.
