Storms expected in SW Saskatchewan Tuesday

Some severe weather could be hitting areas along the U-S border as early as Tuesday night.
Environment Canada’s Terri Lang says a system moving in from Montana will be moving into the southwest corner before the day is over bringing the potential for severe thunderstorms.
“The system will hit Cypress Hills and Val Marie to start as the system skooches across the border.” Lang said. “It will continue hovering just over the border on Wednesday before moving out, but it does mean there is a potential in some spots for storm activity with strong winds and maybe hail.”
Lang says the system will bring some rain to the Regina area, but we shouldn’t see any storms.  More rain is expected later this week and into the weekend as another system from Montana packing some moisture moves into Saskatchewan while dropping temperatures into the mid-teens.
