Regina teen waiting for answers on fathers’ police involved shooting last May

The daughter of a man who died in a shooting involving Regina Police last May is still waiting for answers.

Geoff Morris, 41, was shot and killed by police in a Regina apartment building on May 4th 2019, after he was found holding a woman hostage with a knife.

Officers said out of concern for people’s safety, one of the responding RPS members fired their weapon after all other necessary techniques were preformed.

Morris’ daughter who is 16, said because of COVID-19, coroner’s inquests are delayed and a hearing on her father’s death isn’t expected until next year.
