Wind warnings and possibility of severe weather hitting some parts of SK Sunday

The wind is howling and the sky could be erupting before Sunday is over.

Environment Canada has wind warnings out for parts of western and west-central Saskatchewan including North Battleford and Kindersley with severe thunderstorm watches in effect for those areas as well along with Moose Jaw and Saskatoon.

A developing low pressure system over Alberta is introducing favourable conditions for the development of thunderstorms in central Saskatchewan late this afternoon and evening. It is expected that storms may be isolated initially, and some may become severe with threats of hail and wind.

The wind in Regina has been howling all day with gusts getting to or above 90k/h at times on Sunday.
