Athletes from all sports have gone to social media to voice their opinions on the racial injustice that is happening following the death of George Floyd last month in Minneapolis.
Riders quarterback Cody Fajardo is one of many CFL’ers to do so.
I am here to make a difference, and to help make a change! I love each and everyone of you because that is what I believe in as a Christian! pic.twitter.com/wo7mruB5gC

Another Rider to speak out is linebacker Solomon Elimimian. He says the stories of Floyd, who died after a Minneapolis police officer held a knee against the back of the man’s neck when he was handcuffed on May 25, and others like Ahmaud Arbery cause him great sadness, anger and discouragement. He adds these are acts against humanity.
Elimimian goes on to tell stories about how he experienced racism living in the U-S and that racism needs to be rooted out in society which starts by speaking out about it.
The Riders also had a statement on the matter.
