Another event on Regina’s yearly calendar won’t be happening this summer.

Organizers of the 2020 Dragon Boat Festival say this year’s event will be not be held because of coronavirus.

In a statement, organizers say they are making this move even though the festival is months away because the safety of teams and patrons is of primary importance and it is difficult to have social distancing in a Dragon Boat.  The statement adds the festival is planning on a return in 2021 with more attractions, entertainment and activities for all ages.
