Paying for parking downtown resumes Monday; bus fares start again June 29

Riding the bus will soon no longer be free.

Regina Transit will once again be charging fares as of June 29. Collection had been suspended in mid-March when the COVID-19 pandemic hit shutting down most services.

Plastic shields will also be placed on all buses to protect drivers.

Meanwhile, payments at downtown parking meters will resume on Monday with tickets being handed out to violators. Like transit fares, the city waived parking fees at a meter in March, but with many people returning to the downtown area, parking spots are once again at a premium.
