Brett Kissel is coming to Regina.
One of the fastest rising stars in country music will be at Evraz Place on June 20th for a drive-in style concert being called Saskatchewan’s Night Out with Brett Kissel.
The show will maintain physical distancing rules and follow all health guidelines still in place by the provincial government.
Speaking with 620 CKRM’s Lewis and Evans Thursday morning, Kissel said he’s excited to be able to do what he does best once again.
“We had great success doing this over in Alberta, and we knew we needed to expand this across the prairies and come to Saskatchewan once we had kind of perfected the recipe,” Kissel said.
“We’ve had to jump through a lot of hoops, but I have to applaud everybody at Evraz Place, the entire committee in the city of Regina, as well as the provincial government for saying ‘yes we understand that this is going to be fun and we understand that people want this’, we just have to do it safely,” Kissel added.
Tickets go on sale Friday June 12th, at 10:00 a.m. on Ticketmaster.ca and range from $60 to $100 per vehicle.
To maximize sound quality an FM transmitter will allow concert goers to tune in on their radio if they so please.
The concert is also in support of the Regina Food Bank.
Donations can be made online when you purchase tickets, or non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the gates when you arrive for the show.
Kissel has already sold out six drive-in shows in his hometown of Edmonton.
President and CEO of the Regina Exhibition Association Limited Tim Reid, says the capacity for the show will be 200 vehicles.
Reid also said the stage will be in a premium spot, to the south of the Brandt Centre in the largest parking lot on the property.
