A Regina paralympian has racing wheelchair stolen

Regina police are looking for the person or persons responsible for stealing a customized racing wheelchair after it was stolen Thursday night from a downtown apartment building.

The wheelchair belongs to Jessica Frotten, a Team Canada para-athletics competitor. She noticed the chair, which she uses several times a week in training, was gone when she went to her parking spot in the locked garage of the building she lives in on the 1800 block of Hamilton.

Police are looking for possible surveillance video and are checking internet marketplace sites as they attempt to find out who may be responsible.

A picture of the chair, which costs between seven and ten thousand dollars, that was stolen can be found on our website at 620 CKRM,com
