Regina man facing several charges for videos showing animal cruelty and forcible confinement

A Regina man is facing 16 charges after an investigation linked to a 2019 search warrant, and the seizure of two cell phones.

In November 2019, the Regina Police Service Street Gang Unit executed a search warrant on a residence on the 200 block of Broad Street and seized firearms, drugs, and two cell phones.

At that time, a 23-year-old man was charged with several drug and firearms offences.

It is alleged that the phones contain videos showing assaults committed on, and firearms pointed at, people who are tied up and unable to leave. There are also videos of kittens being suffocated or strangled by a man.

The Street Gang Unit arrested the man seen in the videos.

24-year-old Tyson Dylan Ray, of Regina, is charged with 2 counts of Forcible Confinement, 6 counts of Pointing a Firearm, 6 counts of Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Order, and 2 counts of Cruelty to Animal Causing Unnecessary Suffering.

Ray made his first appearance in court Thursday morning.
