SARCAN recycling depots open to the public Monday.
Communications and culture manager Sean Homenick says staff members will be on hand to help if you wish to skip the line, have a bulk order, or would like to take care of your recycling normally.
“If you want to enter the regular lineup, which a lot of people either want cash or don’t mind waiting, they’ll walk you through our safety measures,” said Homenick.”So, physical distancing, they’ll point to floor markers all throughout our depots, they’ll point out some protective barriers that separate you from our customers. They’ll also manage the line, because our depots will all have capacity limits.”
Homenick says he’s unsure of how busy SARCAN depots will be during opening day, but says people can book an appointment if they have a large enough order.
While already holding the title as one of the cleanest recycling depots in Canada, Homenick says cleaning standards are being beefed up at SARCAN.
