Two men arrested after Regina drug bust

On June 11th, the Regina Police Service’s Drug Unit completed a fentanyl trafficking investigation in Regina.

A search warrant was executed in the 500 block of Lorne Street North resulting in the seizure of approximately 500 grams of fentanyl, $21,000 in cash, a small account of cocaine, multiple cell phones and digital scales.

As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old Lazarus Teny, and 24-year-old Akol Paul Ture, both from Calgary, were jointly charged with several drug trafficking offenses including possession for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime over $5000, and possession of cocaine.

Teny was also charged with breach of a court recognizance, and breach of a probation order.

Ture was also charged with possession of a weapon (bear spray), 3 counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, breach of court recognizance, and breach of a probation order.

Both suspects made their first appearances in court on Friday.
