Environment Canada has issued severe thunderstorm watches for much of southern Saskatchewan, as well as one warning.
The watches are in effect for Regina, Moose Jaw, Humboldt, Estevan, Weyburn, Assiniboia, Moosomin, Carlyle, and their surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Fort Qu’Appelle, Lumsden, Indian Head and Pilot Butte area.
Environment Canada is anticipating the storm to track over southern Saskatchewan and produce heavy rain and strong winds. The storm is also capable of producing nickel-to-ping pong ball sized hail.
More to come.
