Regina police charge man with attempted murder following weekend assaults

Regina police have arrested a 42-year-old man after an incident over the weekend that included attempted murder.

Police were dispatched at 7:40 a.m. on Saturday to a residence on the 100 block of Scarth Street after receiving a report of a weapons offence. That’s where officers found three people with injuries in the home from an alleged assault.

According to RPS, one man was treated by paramedics on scene, a second man was taken to hospital with minor injuries and a third male victim was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Police also located the suspect in the residence.

42-year-old Rodney Geddes of Regina faces charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon and assault. He appeared in court on Monday morning on these charges.
