Since re-opening earlier this month, SARCAN locations have been booming.

Sean Homenick, SARCAN’s Manager of Communications and Recycling said they’re operating like normal, but customers will need to be patient.

“All together it’s probably going to shake down to be one of our busiest times in our history, we’re still comparing with some historical numbers but just by the sheer volume of containers that came in just last week we know this is at least as busy as we’ve ever been,” Homenick said.

Homenick said they counted over 21-million containers brought in since they re-opened their doors.

SARCAN is asking those who don’t need the money and have space to store their recycling to wait a few weeks until business returns to normal before bringing in their bottles and cans.
