The union that represents over 800 education support workers at Regina Public Schools, including education assistants, administrative assistants, nutrition coordinators, food service assistants, interpreters, teacher associates, and library assistants has ratified a new deal with the school division.
Highlights of the deal include a seven percent wage increase, $1,000 signing bonus, market adjustment for elementary administrative assistants and science assistants, improvements to supervision allowance and the conversion of a significant amount of temporary members into permanent ones.
In total, CUPE represents more than 7,000 education support workers across Saskatchewan.
