RCMP catch man who was allegedly going to shoot his family near Tisdale

RCMP have charged a 37-year-old man with several things including three counts of assault with a weapon after allegedly threatening to shoot his family at a home near Tisdale.

A release from RCMP say they received a call around 1 p.m Wednesday about an individual who was heading to the home to shoot his family.

Officers from the Tisdale detachment along with neighbouring detachments converged on the area and safely secured the family members before locating the suspect and taking him into custody without incident.

The accused will be in a Melfort courtroom Thursday.
