SGI resuming road tests

Effective immediately, SGI is resuming road tests to the general public with all drivers who need to take a road test for any class of driver’s licence or motorcycle now able to book an appointment.

Tests had been stopped in March due to COVID-19 with some being taken on a limited basis last month with priority given to people working in either health-care or agriculture.

SGI is telling those who need to book an appointment that there will likely be a long waiting list because they have to get through the many tests cancelled starting in March.

Additional staff is being hired to meet the demand with examiners also working overtime.

Testing is available at two locations in Regina and Saskatoon along with outlets in Moose Jaw, Estevan, Swift Current, Weyburn, Kindersley, Humboldt, Meadow Lake, Tisdale, Prince Albert and North Battleford
