10 of 13 new COVID-19 cases in SK are related to outbreak in Maple Creek area

The province continues to deal with an outbreak of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan’s southwest.

Numbers from the government Friday show 13 new cases of the virus with 10 of those cases in the South and are connected to an outbreak in the RM of Maple Creek.  Two of the other three cases come from the North and one from the Far North.

The 13 new cases put the provincial total at 772 with 105 cases considered active.  That is the highest figure Saskatchewan has had since May 21.

There have been six more recoveries putting the provincial total at 654.

Nine people are in hospital with one of those nine in intensive care in Saskatoon.
