A short and somewhat fiery three-week session of the Saskatchewan Legislature wrapped up on Friday. It was one that NDP leader Ryan Meili attacked the government on saying it was a session the government didn’t want to be a part of as they wanted to coast their way to a provincial election.
Meili says the government is tired and has no plan to grow Saskatchewan’s economy meaning the choice should be clear come election time. He added the budget which was produced is just a pre-election ploy to what he thinks will be disaster for Saskatchewan.
“They won’t say which jobs and wages they’ll be cutting. They won’t say which Crowns they’ll be selling. ” Meili said.
Moe discounted that statement.
“There’s going to be no selling off of crown corporations, there’s going to be no cuts,” Moe said “We don’t feel there is going to be a reason for increasing taxes, we don’t feel there is going to be a reason for any of the things the NDP are talking about.”
