Wind and rainfall warnings out for western Saskatchewan

July brings Saskatchewan some wild weather and that trend will continue Wednesday in the western part of the province.

Environment Canada has wind and rainfall warnings out for areas including Swift Current, Shaunavon, Kindersley and the Battlefords.

People in the southwest and west-central parts of the province can expect to see wind gusts as high as 90km/h as a low-pressure system develops over the central part of the province.

Those in the North Battleford region can expect between 20 to 60 mm of rain as a low pressure system moves through.

The Regina area is not under any watches or warnings at this time, but there is a risk of a severe thunderstorm hitting in the late afternoon with showers in the forecast for the evening hours.
