Man facing charges after evading police Friday morning

On Friday morning, Regina Police observed a vehicle that had previously evaded police. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled at a high rate of speed.

Police later located the vehicle, at approximately 3:50 am, police successfully deployed a tire deflation spike on East Green Ridge Gate. The  vehicle came to a stop on Woodhams Grove Drive.

The two occupants, a male driver and a female passenger, were then arrested.

A search of the vehicle found an expandable baton and a stolen license plate.

37-year-old Daniel Alfred St. Cyr has been charged with flight from a police officer, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of a weapon.

St. Cyr is set to make his first court appearance on August 26th, 2020
