A brand new pool at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park is now open to visitors.
The swimming pool was designed to meet the needs of a wide range of people. The facility includes a sloped accessible entry for young children or people with mobility concerns.
The pool is set to be open daily from 11:00 until 7:00 pm, until the September long weekend.
Several safety protocols will be in place when visitors make their way to the pool, like a decreased capacity at one time, where people will be asked to leave after a set block of time to allow for cleaning and disinfecting. People can then choose whether to leave or re-enter the lineup to be admitted again, re-payment will not be required.
No swimming lessons or programs like lane swimming will be allowed to allow the pool to be open for longer public swim times.
Signs showing specific entry and exit points will be in place, and staff will remind visitors of the need to physical distance.
