A controversial decision made by U Sports last week is getting a second look.
After making an announcement that fifth year university football players who lost their final season to COVID-19, would not be able to play next year as a 25-year-old, many in the football community spoke out against the decision.

Over 300 players would have been affected by the decision, after COVID-19 forced the cancellation of their current final seasons.
The University of Regina Rams had seven fifth year players on their 2020 roster.
It’s expected U Sports will make a second and final decision in the coming weeks after Interim CEO Dick White takes players and teams concerns back to the board of governors.
