Three killed in Columbia Icefield tour bus rollover

Three people were killed in a tour bus rollover at the Columbia Icefields, near Jasper, Alberta, Saturday.

Local RCMP say there were 27 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident.

According to witnesses, the bus was travelling on the Athabasca Glacier when it rolled.

According to another eyewitness, the rollover was caused by a rock slide.

RCMP says due to the amount of people injured, and the remote location of the accident, emergency staff from several surrounding areas were in called.

Jasper RCMP is investigating the cause of the rollover.
