The Saskatchewan government says applications are now being accepted for the one million dollar fund to encourage development of agriculture technology.

Agriculture Minister David Marit says investing in farm technology pays big dividends in economic development for the province.

Marit says the Agtech Growth fund is designed to support development of new farm equipment technology to complement investments in crop breeding and production.

Saskatchewan’s tech sector contributes 4.7 billion-dollars a year to the provincial economy.
