Regina police investigating Tuesday robbery at Albert Street business

The Regina Police Service is looking for a suspect from a robbery on Tuesday afternoon in south Regina.

Police were dispatched at 4:10 p.m. to a business on the 3800 block of Albert Street for a weapons offence. Staff told officers that a man was carrying a large knife and threatening customers and staff.

The suspect was described as wearing a black shirt, a black baseball hat and carrying a black backpack. He left the business before police arrived and had been seen on a bicycle heading northbound. Patrol members were unable to locate him. the suspect.

An investigation uncovered that the suspect had gotten into an argument with a staff member and, after taking a knife that was part of the store merchandise, allegedly stole other items before trying to open the cash registers.

Investigators are in the process of obtaining any store video to help identify the suspect. There were no physical injuries reported as a result of this incident.
