SK reports its 20th COVID-19 death

A person in their 60’s from the southwest region of Saskatchewan has become the 20th person to die from COVID-19.

The information comes as the province releases its daily update.  That update shows 23 new cases with 19 of them coming from hutterite colonies.   The South Central region has 12 cases with the Southwest and Saskatoon each reporting three.  Regina has two new cases with East-Central also reporting two new cases and one coming from the Northwest.  It brings the provincial total to 1,409.

168 cases are considered active which is down from a figure of 304 at this time last week.

57 recoveries are being reported bringing the provincial total to 1,221.

Thirteen people remain hospitalized including one in Regina.  Four of the thirteen are in intensive care with three of those four in Saskatoon.
