Provincial NDP asking for additional measures to fix return to school plan

The NDP is now calling on the provincial government to reconvene the Human Services Committee in an effort to fix the “complete failure” of a return to school plan.

Education critic Carla Beck says in a news release that teachers and parents want a clear path forward, with Premier Moe, the Saskatchewan Health Authority and Education minister Gord Wyant all failing to provide that.

Beck also pointed to the seven steps the NDP outlined to ensure a safe return to school. That plan was released before the province announced their controversial return to school plan.

Wyant will be speaking more to the return to school plan Tuesday afternoon.
