An early morning surprise for residents of Church Drive and Faunt Bay in Regina’s northwest on Tuesday morning.

They were greeted by a sludge-like material which flooded the street and seeped into some homes.

620 CKRM’s Moises Canales spent some time on the street speaking with some homeowners.  He says a couple have told him that there was a loud boom behind a home on Church Drive with what they think was a sinkhole developing putting pressure on a watermain causing the big mess.

Crews are on scene trying to clean up the mess.
