City of Regina looking for public feedback on new RPS campus, Municipal Justice Building

The City of Regina and the Regina Police Service are inviting public feedback on the community space that will be a part of the new RPS headquarters, as well as in the adjacent Municipal Justice Building.

The RPS campus project involves the renovation of the existing RPS Headquarters and the former STC bus depot on Saskatchewan drive, as well as the design and construction of a new building connecting the two facilities.

The new building link will house a main public entrance and have adjacent multi-purpose and community spaces. The City is looking for feedback as to how those spaces might be used and on how the exterior of the campus will fit into the community.

While the City is looking for feedback specifically from residents in the community, input from the broader Regina area is welcome.

In addition to the new RPS campus, the City is redeveloping the Municipal Justice Building on Halifax Street into a neighbourhood community centre and police training and fitness facility. The goal of the project is to preserve the heritage of the facility, while designing space that would accommodate all the planned community spaces.

The community survey is available online at Regina.ca/beheard. The deadline for responses is August 31, 2020. Residents can also sign up for updates and future opportunities to engage on this and other City projects.
