Winnipeg man facing charges after hitting pedestrian in Moose Jaw

On Saturday morning around 1:50 am, Moose Jaw Police received numerous calls regarding an erratic driver on the 1200 block of Main Street North involving a man recklessly driving a vehicle that had crashed into a meridian and almost hit multiple pedestrians.

When police arrived, they learned the vehicle was reported stolen out of Winnipeg.

While on scene, police were notified of a pedestrian who had been hit by the vehicle. They were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries an was later released.

The 23-year-old male driver from Winnipeg was arrested and is facing several charges including impaired driving causing bodily harm, refusal of breath demand, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, obstruct a police officer, possession of stolen property over $5,000, breach of release order, and 3 counts of breach of conditional sentence order.

The man is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
