Active COVID-19 case count continues downward trend with five new cases and seven recoveries

Five more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Saskatchewan.

Three of the new cases come from the north west, and two come from Saskatoon.

There are 1,609 total cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, but 58 of those cases are still active. Of those 58 active cases, 29 are located on communal living settings such as hutterite colonies.

Seven more people have recovered from COVID-19, marking 1,527 total recoveries.

Three people are in hospital, with two of those patients in intensive care. All of those hospitalizations are in Saskatoon.

When it comes to testing, 1,254 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Saskatchewan on Wednesday. The province reminds residents that COVID-19 testing is open to anyone who requests it, regardless of their symptoms.
