Harvest is moving into full gear across Saskatchewan.
Provincial crops analyst Sara Tetland says 15 percent of the crop has been combined, up from four percent last week and ahead of the 5 year average of 12 percent for this time of year.
Harvest ranges from 31 percent in the southwest to 2 percent in the northwest part of the grainbelt.
She says there were scattered rainshowers throughout the province, with the largest amount around the Lloydminster-
Turtleford area at 83 millimeters.
Cropland topsoil moisture is rated 1 percent surplus, 37 percent adequate, 42 percent short and 20 percent very short.
The majority of crop damage this week was due to lack of moisture, heat, wind and insects like grasshoppers, bertha armyworms and aphids.
There are reports of premature ripening and heat stress in crops and pastures.
